Getting Bigger and Bigger

Lilly is now drinking from a straw. Yes, my little girl can do a big girl thing now. We tried giving her a sippy cup but it's difficult for her to tip her head back far enough in her highchair so she can actually drink from it. Drinking from the straw took a few tries before she got the hang of it, but yesterday she was a pro. She doesn't get a lot to drink since she's still nursing, but we give her some water when she's eating solids to help her clean her palate. We'll still work on the sippy cup, but for now we're using the straw.

Although it's exciting to see Lilly growing up, it's a little bittersweet. It just seems like she's growing so fast. I mean, she's already drinking from a straw! And this Friday she's going to be 6 months old already. The time is really going by so fast, which makes me even more thankful that I have the opportunity to stay home with her and cherish these moments.
